About the UKSAEI Symposium 2022

The inaugural Symposium invites faculty and researchers, staff and students of its member universities to convene in Singapore for a week to strengthen ties and accelerate collaborations in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship this year.

From 12 to 16 December 2022, the Symposium will see activities lined up, aligned with objectives listed below.

• Better appreciation of Singapore economic priorities and business challenges

• Develop better understanding of research, market and funding opportunities

• Explore public and private engagement opportunities

• Opportunity to build collaborations and partners – between universities/ universities and industry

• Get to know Singapore and the region of SE Asia

• Talent development -- work with fellow students from different backgrounds experiences and disciplines

• Build and strengthen ties in the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem

 

Following from the success of the UKSAEI Climate & Sustainability Hackathon 2021, the Symposium 2022 has incorporated a Hackathon to build closer collaboration among student talents across the UK and Singapore Universities. Members of the industry had sponsored sustainability-related challenge statements for diverse student teams to tackle. The theme for the Hackathon is Innovations for Sustainability.
